P0016 Cmp/Ckp Correlation, P0300 Random Misfire (2008 VW Jetta)

The process in this video may be used on other applications when diagnosing timing issues, testing may vary between manufacturers. In this video we are working on a 2008 Volkswagen Jetta with a 2.0t GDI engine. The customer complaint is a flashing check engine light which is a severe misfire. The faults stored in this vehicle are p0016 cmp/ckp correlation and p0300 random misfire.
