Nasir Bagh Parking Plaza is a major development project launched by the Punjab Government to solve the severe parking problems in the busy areas of central Lahore. The project is being constructed near Nasir Bagh Park, close to important locations such as the Civil Courts, Government College University (GCU), Punjab University Old Campus, Old Anarkali Bazaar, and Urdu Bazaar. This area faces heavy traffic congestion every day because thousands of visitors, students, and lawyers come here. � The new underground parking plaza is being built on approximately 11 kanals of land and will have two basement levels designed with modern engineering standards. Once completed, the parking facility will accommodate around 256 to 300 cars and about 500 motorcycles at the same time, which will significantly reduce roadside parking and traffic jams in the surrounding roads. � The estimated cost of the Nasir Bagh Parking Plaza project is around Rs 1.6 to 1.8 billion. The project is being executed by the Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning Agency (TEPA) under the Lahore Development Authority (LDA). According to officials, the construction time for the project is expected to be about 8 to 10 months, after which the plaza will be fully operational for the public. � The parking plaza will include modern facilities such as: • Automated parking management system • CCTV surveillance for security • Fire-fighting system • Elevators and stair access • Ticketing and digital monitoring system • Proper lighting and ventilation In addition to parking facilities, the surface area of Nasir Bagh Park will be restored with landscaping, greenery, and public seating areas so visitors can still enjoy the park environment.
