À 1 heure d’Abidjan, ce paradis attire les investisseurs et les particulers les plus fortunés
Located approximately 60 km from Abidjan, the town of Jacqueville is undergoing a spectacular transformation. Long isolated, this seaside town in Côte d'Ivoire has become, in just a few years, one of the country's new hubs for real estate investment. In this report from the Ivorian Radio and Television Broadcasting Corporation (RTI), we discover how Jacqueville is attracting a growing number of investors, real estate developers, and individuals seeking a more tranquil lifestyle than the economic capital, Abidjan. The major turning point was the inauguration of the Philippe Yacé Bridge in 2015, which replaced the old ferry and facilitated access to the town. Since then, the real estate market has experienced a veritable boom: • Land prices have increased tenfold to fifteenfold in less than 10 years. • A 600 m² plot of land can now fetch 15 to 20 million CFA francs. • New residential neighborhoods are under development. • Luxury villa rentals are attracting tourists. Thanks to its beaches, its proximity to the Ébrié Lagoon, and its still-pristine natural environment, Jacqueville is also becoming a popular weekend destination. The city is gradually establishing itself as a natural extension of Greater Abidjan and a future major tourist and real estate hub in West Africa.
