For twenty thousand years, man has never stopped producing art. First on the walls of caves and today using the most advanced technology, man leaves signs, symbols, and images that, even if seemingly incomprehensible, produce meaning. The blank canvas as a metaphor for all the surfaces that host those traces. The blank canvas as a place chosen by man to bring order to disorder. Carlo Vanoni has dedicated himself full-time to the world of contemporary art for over 25 years, as a gallery consultant, exhibition curator, popularizer, playwright, and actor ("Art is a Candy," "Michelangelo and the Snowman"). His latest book is "Barefoot in Art," published by Solferino. With Leonardo Manera, he co-authored the television program "The Art of Living," broadcast on Zelig TV, and the theatrical show "The Best Paintings of Our Life." He is the creator of BienNoLo, the first Milanese art biennial. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
