Merry Christmas Eve. This video was recorded some time ago. I had planned to post it earlier this month, but with everything going on, my mind has felt scattered and heavy. My heart aches, and I deeply wish for peace to come to Cambodia. There has been so much discourse and misinformation. I struggle to understand how a country shaped by generations of historical trauma can be portrayed as seeking war. Border conflicts and narratives of “heroism,” such as ending casinos and scams, have repeatedly been used as justifications for invasion, erasure, and violence against religion and communities. This video is about manifestation and self growth. While I did not speak on Cambodia as much as I would have liked, the core message focuses on ourselves, on holding hope, being more intentional with our New Year resolutions, and trusting our own paths. Still, I hope this video also reminds us to grow our empathy for others, especially those whose histories are often misunderstood or silenced. I encourage us to look beyond what is simply told to us, beyond what is reported, and to use our own judgment to understand what is truly happening. Stand with the marginalized and with smaller nations, because history is often written by those who win. Those who lose are left to carry the weight of erasure.
