Sistema Desmodrômico Ducati
The desmodromic system is an engine valve actuation mechanism, famous for equipping Ducati motorcycles since the 1950s. Unlike conventional engines, it uses camshafts and rocker arms to open and close the valves, eliminating return springs. This prevents valve float at high RPMs, allowing for greater performance, precision, and power.
