The team from O Empreiteiro Magazine went to check out the progress of the Serra das Araras duplication works on the Presidente Dutra Highway (BR-116), the main and most important road connecting the states of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. With winding curves and a topography that poses great engineering challenges, the stretch is under concession to RioSP (a Motiva company, formerly CCR). The works are being carried out by the construction company EGTC, an engineering firm contracted for the project.
