Karinthandan was a chieftain of Paniyar Tribal group who believed to be lived in Chippilithod village (Kozhikode )between 1750-1799 and (1700-1750). With the help of Karinthandan, British army builted passage (Churam) from Adivaram to Wayanad.Later he was shot to death. Later this passage was addressed as Thamaraserry churam and Karinthandan churam. *Note It's a blend of history and Myths.. Oral history is the basis of Karinthandan Story.
