On the count number one, you would turn your beat and your body to 3 o'clock. You will close your feet, then 6 o'clock. Then 9 o'clock, then back to 12, and that's your partner. If we're doing a left turn, we have to go backwards. So I'm doing 9 o'clock, 6 o'clock, 3 o'clock, 12. Back to your partner. That isn't a slow actions. Turns to meringue doesn't have to be in a specific timing or a specific tempo. She can take as long as she wants as I raise the hand, as long as I'm not leading a fast turn. If I just raise my hand then she wants to do, take an entire eight beats to turn around if I leave that, if I lead that.
