Palace Press Officer Claire Castro says President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. respects the rights to freedom of expression and assembly but does not recognize those who abuse and impede on other people’s rights. “Dapat galangin ang karapatan ng bawat isa,” she said. She said law enforcers were given instructions to exercise maximum tolerance on Iglesia ni Cristo members who joined the surprise EDSA rally but should arrest those who break the law. She added that the surprise rally will have an impact on the economy including students and workers who ply EDSA.
