Who in the Greater Florianópolis region hasn't seen a picture of this gas station? This charming 1950s Texaco station is the Teófilo Schütz Gas Station. Located in Rancho Queimado, in the Taquaras district, where some buildings seem to have stopped in time. Next to the station is a hotel from the same era, where truck drivers passing through could rest while repairing their trucks for their trips to the coast. On this visit, we spoke with Dona Salete, daughter-in-law of Felícia and Teófilo Schütz, where she tells a little about the history of her mother-in-law and this place that makes us feel at home.
