Store: Macys Mall: Cielo Vista Mall El Paso, TX Year opened: 2001 Modernizations: None Additional comments: This store is fairly new as you can see. This store opened as Foleys in 2001, then the name changed to Macys in 2006. Before Foleys, this store used to be Montgomery Wards. When they closed in 2000, they tore down the old building, and built this new building. I remember the old building. The elevator was modernized by innovation, was all brown inside, and had a single speed door. It was right by the entrance of the mall. The escalators used to be like Sears style single file escalators. The freight elevator is unknown of the old Montgomery Wards store, but from what I am assuming, it most likely used to be Dover. Anyways, this is a modern store. Both the passenger and freight elevators are Kone, except the freight elevator has innovation fixtures.
