Rogal Dorn Wasn't Mind-Wiped — He Chose to Forget THIS
The gallery contains eighteen alcoves. Nine hold loyal sons rendered in stone and bronze—present, solid, still occupying space in the hall. Nine more are draped in shroud-cloth, covered and hidden from view, yet the covering itself serves as testimony. Even traitors leave a shape. Even condemned men retain a form that can be veiled and preserved as a record of what went wrong. Horus, Lorgar, Mortarion—their names survive. You can point to the covered alcoves and say: that one fell, that one turned, that one chose the Ruinous Powers over his father and his species. The cloth acknowledges something beneath it. The hidden silhouette declares that a Primarch once stood there, that his existence mattered, and that his fate is worth preserving as a warning. But two alcoves hold nothing. No covered plinth, no hidden face, just empty air where brothers should have stood. The statues that once depicted them were destroyed, along with every record, designation, and inscription that might have told future Imperial historians who they were.
