It uses multiple fuel sources, Alcohol Burner, Coal, Wood, Wood Pellets, Leaves ect. I tested it with a trangia burner which can be used in multiple positions in the stove. I also tested it as a wood burning stove. The best thing about wood is it's free! You only need sticks and twigs to get a good fire for cooking. The steak i cooked was with just a few sticks and twigs.
