A criação do Objetivo de Desenvolvimento Sustentável 18 em 2023 | Observatório ODS 18

SDG 18 is a Sustainable Development Goal that aims to eliminate racism and ethnic-racial discrimination against indigenous peoples, Afro-descendants, and population groups affected by multiple forms of discrimination. The SDG 18 Observatory – Ethnic-Racial Equality is an academic space for training, research, monitoring, and analysis of progress towards SDG 18 – Promoting Ethnic-Racial Equality of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Linked to the Federal University of Southern Bahia (UFSB), the Observatory has the support and partnership of the Ministry of Racial Equality, the UFSB/CNPq Contemporary Black Thought Research Group, and the Polytechnic School Foundation of Bahia. The Observatory is a member of the SDG 18 Thematic Chamber of the National Commission for Sustainable Development Goals and is responsible for supporting the Ministry of Racial Equality in the coordination, formulation, and implementation of the Chamber's Operational Plan. It carries out its activities through teaching, research, and outreach, and is composed of researchers and outreach workers from UFSB, partner universities and public and private institutions, independent researchers, students, representatives of civil society, public bodies, and the productive sector.
