1970's Coin Operated Pelham Puppet Show Amusement Arcade Machine

Filmed at a old penny arcade located at Woodbank Nurseries, Bingley. Made in the 1970's by Mayfield Electronics. These machines contained a displays of Pelham Puppets which were often used to advertise the company in large toy stores. Mayfield Electronics decided to convert them into arcade machines to be used in amusement arcades many of the large number of models produced contained different variations. A personal favorite machine of mine as this and the Madam Zasha were located at a old penny arcade at the end of Southport Pier years ago back then Pinocchio humorously from all that dancing energy had one leg whilst as now I assume the motor that drives the mechanism at the top which makes the strings move had been slowed down to prevent wear and tear on the puppets' strings. The music had also been replaced with just general kids songs that change after each activation.
