It was the return of movement, grass, milk, young animals, and open roads. After the hardship of winter, the steppe began to breathe again. Snow melted from the lowlands, rivers and lakes became important points of passage, and fresh grass slowly returned to the plains. Families prepared their yurts, gathered their belongings, checked the animals, and began the seasonal movement toward better pastures. Among Turkic and Central Asian nomadic traditions, life often followed the rhythm of the land: winter camps, spring pastures, summer highlands, and autumn return routes. These movements were not random wandering. They were shaped by water, grass, weather, herd size, ancestral routes, and the memory of the people who had crossed the same lands before. Spring was also a time of renewal. Foals, lambs, and young animals changed the pace of the camp.
