Note that this figure is the vaccination rate for registered dogs. If unregistered dogs are included, the vaccination rate is even lower, and it is estimated that the actual rate is less than half. The dog breed notation follows the Japan Kennel Club. In light of the fact that the term "mixed dogs" has become more common in recent years, we refer to dogs born from the mating of purebreds as "mixed dogs" and dogs whose parent dogs' lineage is unknown as "mongrel dogs."
