Transit Singapore has procured a 2026-built Alstom Metropolis C831 to be deployed for the South Region Line with 5 trains (30 units) ordered. Key standouts from the City Express Line C831 is that, owing to different eletricfication, a different propulsion system is used and is similiar to that of the Alstom M series from Maryland Line. Another standouts are the front where it was stylized to fit the the tunnel.
