Whip contends he isn’t blackmailing Brooke, he simply wants the appropriate remuneration for helping Brooke by telling the world that he’s the father of her baby. Bridget catches Deacon rifling through Whip’s desk, and contends they can get to know Whip better by inviting Whip and Brooke to join them at the Café Russe. When Deacon isn’t interested, Bridget wonders why Deacon is keeping himself so busy at work that he doesn’t even realize they haven’t made love in over a month. Bridget storms off and goes to her mother for bedroom advice which makes Brooke very uncomfortable, but she assures Bridget she isn’t doing anything wrong. Brooke then tells Deacon that Bridget extended the dinner invitation to Whip and he accepted, so now they are stuck. Brooke also tells Deacon about Whip’s demands and Deacon goes off to confront Whip.
