Remember when the Surfline became cool again? (Amtrak Dash-8s 503, 509, 510, and AmCal Cabbages!)

Time has been turned back for the Pacific Surfliner service as many old locomotives and other pieces of equipment not usually used here are now seeing mainline service a lot more frequently than in the past! Some of the most notable appearances are AMTK 503, AMTK 509, and AMTK 510! Additional equipment that has made its way out here has been the Comet cars and AmCal painted Cabbages of AMTK 90215 and AMTK 90225 from Northern California. After a few years of exclusively seeing chargers used here, it is quite nice to see some variety and creativity with these unusual consist arrangements.
