#Long-establishedPachinkoParkerClosing #Wakakusa #SapporoStation The rush of pachinko parlor closures continues! ㉙ Two extremely long-established pachinko parlors located in front of Sapporo Station, "Sun Wakakusa" and "Ekimae Wakakusa," closed on May 6, 2020. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they temporarily closed in line with the industry from April 21, but it appears they have decided to close without reopening. Founded in 1953 (Showa 28), "Wakakusa" was the oldest pachinko parlor in Sapporo. There used to be about five "Wakakusa" locations along Sapporo Ekimae-dori, but they are now all closed. When it was first established, it was operated by Wakakusa Enterprise Co., Ltd., but management rights were later transferred to a relative of Wakakusa Enterprise's founding family, which is now Kondo Shoji Co., Ltd., the current operating company. They originally owned this building, but sold it a few years ago and have since operated a pachinko parlor as a tenant.
