2000 Honda Passport Tune Up - Episode 11 Engine Teardown and Clean Up

The time has come!!! To tear this engine down. Removing the thermostat housing, thermostat, valve covers, exhaust manifolds, heads, oil filter housing, oil pans and water pump. We encounter stripped bolts from previous shoddy work and lots of gunk and gasket material clogging it up. We make some mistakes that almost cost us big time. We overcome these setbacks with some good ideas taking more time but ultimately getting the job done. Once we get everything apart we begin prep for reassembly. No machine shop for us so we scrape the gasket surfaces clean and hit them with fine grit sand paper to get them as good as we can. Finally we clean the combustion chambers, valves, valve ports, piston tops and cylinders. Thanks for joining us!!! ‪@LegitStreetCars‬    • How I Cleaned My SVT Lightning Pistons & E...
