Nakasendo Trail Yabuhara to Narai-juku

Join me for a scenic hike along the historic Nakasendo Trail, journeying from Yabuhara Post Town over the beautiful Torii Pass (Torii-toge) to the beautifully preserved Edo-period town of Narai-juku. This section of the ancient highway offers a wonderful blend of lush forested paths, historic shrines, and incredible stone monuments, culminating in a walk down the "Narai of a Thousand Houses" (Narai Senken). 🥾 Hike Details & Highlights: Start: Yabuhara Station / Yabuhara Post Town The Climb: Hiking up through the peaceful forested switchbacks of the Torii Pass (approx. 1,197m elevation). The Summit: Checking out the historic Torii Pass structures, stone statues, and panoramic views. The Descent: Walking down into the stunningly preserved post town of Narai-juku, famous for its traditional wooden architecture.
