Sacramento’s homeless population increases by 30%
New numbers released Monday show that homelessness is up 30 percent since 2015 in Sacramento County. Every two years, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development requires a homelessness census. About 400 volunteers fanned out across the county to count and survey the people living on the streets.
