The GM chassis is affordable to buy and maintain and it's easy to find a dealer for servicing. The Savana LDX is built on the 20' GM chassis which makes this van look and drive just like a normal van. It's exterior height of 8 feet means it can park in some garages. What's more, Safari Condo hasn't skimped on this coach. It has seating for up to 6 in 3-pt seat belts and optional berthing for up to 6 as well. There's a good sized galley with everything you need including a microwave and a permanent front lounge. Unlike some of its competitors, the Safari Condo also gives you the option to have a fixed toilet and indoor shower hidden within the bench seat for the front dinette. Like origami the seat back and bottom transform into the side and rear walls and a curtain can be drawn around to enclose the rest of the space. The result is a large shower are just behind the cab. When you're done, just fold it all back down and your dinette returns. It's an ingenious design that overcomes one of the biggest drawbacks of these small camper vans.
