Thivishi lower III (III+ - IV) MW, Georgia Kayaking level ~140cm at gaugue Rioni Alpana

This is probably the best easy run in Georgia. There is water any time of the year and it's not dammed (yet). It's a big volume glacier river with black water in summer and a nice green medium size river in early spring and autumn. Everything is easy to scout and portage although sometimes the river flows in a canyon. The pools between the rapids are normally long enough to recover but do keep in mind that the river is really big and fast during glacier melt. There are several put in and take out options. The road follows the river but not always close enough. The hardest rapid is just above a lower bridge and it's well visible from the main road.
