Westover H S Marching Band, Albany GA, 1980

This was my first year at WHS (fresh out of college). The band had never been to a marching band contest. We didn't have hats because the band had grown so large we didn't have enough! What the kids may have lacked in skill they made up for in spirit. We worked really hard and diring concert season we rated a Superior rating! A first in many years for the band. Drum Majors Graham Crosby and Gregory Lunsford. band made an excellent (2) so, overall not bad for the first time out.
