THE RANGERS OF PORTUGAL!!! The sad story of OS Belenenses

Much like Rangers FC, OS Belenenses were once champions of their country but got demoted to the lowest tier of football. C.F. Os Belenenses, from the Belem region of Lisbon in Portugal, won the Portuguese football top division in 1946. In recent years, the club split in two. OS Belenenses kept the stadium (Estádio do Restelo), badge & history but lost the squad and place in the Primeira Liga. Belenenses SAD in the Primeira Liga are the lesser supported club. C.F. Os Belenenses have more fans depsite having to restart in the non leagues and rise their way back to the top of Portuguese football! WHAT A STORY!!!
