Celebrating Young Talent in the South African Police Service: Meet W/O Thobeka Shozi
As we celebrate #youthmonth, the South African Police Service recognises and appreciates the incredible work our young men and women in blue do within the organisation. They play an integral role in the South African Police Service, and their ideas and skills add significant value. One notable individual is W/O Thobeka Shozi, a 28-year-old pilot at the Air Wing Unit based at Wonderboom Airport. W/O Shozi was born and raised in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. During her time in Grade 11, she discovered her passion for aviation. She had the opportunity to work at a flight school at Virginia Airport, and her love for flying truly ignited when she took control of the yoke and was flown over the Durban coast. W/O Shozi is not just a typical pilot; she is a Police Officer who has the duty to protect the citizens of South Africa.
