She Joined This Sports Academy... and Her Life Changed

Kiara found herself out of work, and struggling to find opportunities that felt genuinely open to young people. Then, at a jobs fair, she met Street League and signed up for the first cohort of its Young Women’s Academy. What Kiara found was more than employment support. Through sport, coaching and a community lifting each other up, Kiara built friendships, confidence and connections that remained long after the programme ended. Now 21, Kiara is training as a football coach herself, helping other young people take their own next steps. Community projects doing vital grassroots work are the driving force behind Jill Scott taking on her epic Sport Relief challenge this June. Every mile helps make a difference, funding local projects like Street League that support young people. Help us create lasting local change.
