Finding a Music Teacher: Tips from a Mom of 6 and Musician
In this video I am sharing all my practical tips for finding a private music teacher for your child. I was recently acquainted with this daunting task when I moved to a new state and city and had no connections to music teachers for my five oldest kids. I started private music lessons in third grade, received a BS in Music Education with cello as my principal instrument, and have used music in teaching both group and private lessons, full-time ministry, recording, and currently in wedding and event performances. But, I'm also a mom of six girls, five of whom play musical instruments--we do a total of nine private music lessons a week! These are my opinions and tips for beginning the process of finding a music teacher. They may be a little controversial in the music world 😅 but I hope they can help you!
