GENERAL EISENHOWER'S FAREWELL TO LONDON
(19 May 1952) Arriving at London Airport with his wife, General Eisenhower had a few friendly words to say before driving to London. In the capital, he was received by the Queen Mother and later had luncheon with the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh. In the evening, they were guests of the Premier at No 10, Downing Street, and the dinner party there was attended by Lord and Lady Alexander, Mr and Mrs Attlee and Mr Eden also.
