This helps students quickly find the two bounds that surround a given number and avoid common mistakes. The video also covers placing numbers on a number line. I explain to the students how to observe the increments, identify how much they increase, and determine between which marks the number to be placed. They learn to position a number accurately using place value markers. Particular attention is paid to reading the instructions. I show the students that many errors stem from misunderstanding the instructions and that it is essential to check whether they should round to the nearest ten, hundred, thousand, or another place value. When you talk about a distance, a price, a population, or a score, you can naturally ask your child what range it falls between.
