Have you ever imagined a 100% electric bus, designed entirely by a Brazilian manufacturer, with cutting-edge design, intelligent engineering solutions and a new level of comfort and safety for urban transport? That is what Marcopolo has prepared with the unprecedented Marcopolo Attivi Integral, the first urban bus developed by the brand with its own chassis and body, designed from the beginning to be an entirely electric vehicle. Liam Mattera visited the Marcopolo factory in Caxias do Sul (RS) and also one of the most advanced test tracks in Latin America to get a closer look at this bus launch, which marks the beginning of a new era for national urban mobility. The model has a low floor, air suspension, LFP batteries with 12 modules, a capacity of up to 396.75 kWh, autonomy of up to 250 km and peak power of 385 kW, with torque of 2,800 Nm. Recharging time can be as little as 4 hours, with charging via the CCS2 standard of up to 130 kW. Everything in the Marcopolo Attivi Integral bus was designed for efficiency, safety and accessibility. The urban bus has bilateral kneeling, space for wheelchair users, ergonomically designed seats, USB type A and C ports, indirect lighting in the “pipe” style and new interior materials such as PU and stainless steel. The design of this 100% electric urban bus includes regenerative brakes, battery cooling systems and structural protections that have already been crash tested. Another highlight of the Attivi Integral is the fact that even the electrical management software was developed by Marcopolo, integrating the chassis and bodywork in an unprecedented way. This provides greater control and efficiency, with constant updates designed to reduce operating costs and ensure maximum durability in passenger transportation in cities. This is urban mobility at new levels with this pride of Brazilian engineering. Produced in Caxias do Sul (RS) and São Mateus (ES), the Attivi Integral has a high level of nationalization and is eligible for financing via FINAME, also meeting the requirements for sustainable transportation in Brazilian cities. With a 12-month warranty for the vehicle and 8 years or 640 thousand km for the batteries, it represents Marcopolo's commitment to innovation and the future of mobility, with this new innovative urban bus. During the tests, we followed ramps of up to 20% incline, passenger simulations at maximum GVW and rigorous validations carried out by the brand's engineering team.
