Smokescreen Saturday - Sabs evicted from event by hunt terriermen!

"𝙄𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙖 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙢𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙨!" - 𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐬 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐒𝐦𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 Well, it came as no surprise that the latest attempt by the #BritishHoundSportsAssociation to convince the public that #FoxHunts are actually #TrailLaying ended up a complete fiasco. We've had hunt members on the phone (as usual) saying how embarrassing it is to be associated with the #BHSA and how there are rising tensions over the amount of membership money spent by the organisation on things most of the members do not want. A few of the reports we've heard about the national day... 🦊A bunch of hunts who were told which events to support basically told the BHSA to "f*ck off" 🦊 The #LedburyHunt bottled it and decided not to hunt their hounds at the event they themselves were hosting and instead got the #CotswoldHunt (who had been told to support the #HeythropHunt and #NorthCotswoldHunt) to do the demonstration instead as they were more confident in their hounds' ability to follow an artificial scent 🦊 Various confrontations and threats made towards #HuntSabs across the different events And, of course, at the event co-hosted by the Heythrop and North Cots hunts, our #HuntSaboteurs were asked to leave. And who did the hunts think would be the best people to task to remove them? The hunt #Terriermen! Oh, could we have asked for a better 'shoot yourself in the foot' moment? As we stated in the live videos we did at the event, we are unsure how the hunts expected regular members of the public, MPs, media and police to actually see anything educational (or at all) in the 'demonstration' considering the hunt, very realistically, did a runner out of the meet after the speeches (finally) concluded. At least they stayed true to form and tried to get away from us as quickly as possible... Watch this space for more...
