The cuckoo is a rather shy bird. We hear it almost every morning, but as soon as I arrive with a camera and tripod, it is usually gone. On this early summer morning, I was fortunate enough to observe and film a cuckoo for several minutes. Again and again, it calls into the clear blue sky, listens, and answers another cuckoo in the distance.
