Week 3 - Extra manipulation to give the Queen more laying room
I wasn't happy with my solution to the bees unsuccessfully moving into the super during my inspection yesterday and so I have decided to move this colony to a double brood system (housing the brood nest over two brood boxes). This will give the Queen lots of room in which to lay and should reduce any pressure to swarm, whilst also allowing the bees to keep plenty of stores of pollen and nectar close to the brood. Inspection date: 06/5/26
