[Guest Profile] Kensuke Takayasu Born in Tokyo in 1971. Graduated from Waseda University's Faculty of Political Science and Economics in 1994, and received a Ph.D. (Government) from the London School of Economics (LSE) in 2003. Specializes in comparative politics. Since 2010, has been a professor in the Faculty of Law at Seikei University, and since 2018, has been the director of the Asia-Pacific Research Center at the same university. Publications include The Power of the Prime Minister: A Comparative Study of the Ruling Party in Japan and the UK (Sobunsha, 2009), Parliamentary System: The Transforming British Model (Chuko Shinsho, 2018), and An Introduction to Political Science as General Education (co-authored, Chikuma Shinsho, 2019).
