Can you use oyster and contactless pay as you go on HS1? Yes but only between St Pancras International and Stratford! Also my first Southeastern journey since September 2024. When I did this route in June 2022, Thanet Parkway was still under construction and hadn't opened yet. Thanet Parkway is currently the newest station on the Southeastern network which reopened on 31st July 2023! Travelling to Canterbury West? On a 12 car service, you'll need to be in the front 8 coaches! Wye, Chilham, Chartham and Sturry fit 4 coaches, while Minster fits 8 coaches (on the rare occasion that 395 AT300s call at these stations). 0:00 - St Pancras International (START) - Change for London Underground Circle, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan, Northern, Piccadilly and Victoria lines, Eurostar to Mainland Europe, EMR and Thameslink services to Gatwick and Luton Airports ✈️, Rainham (Kent), Bedford, Sutton, Sevenoaks, Horsham and Brighton. Also change for Great Northern, LNER, Lumo, Grand Central and Hull Trains from Kings Cross. Exit for British Library 3:02 - St Pancras International departure 10:56 - Stratford HS1 - Change for DLR via London City Airport ✈️ 11:44 - Stratford HS1 departure 22:11 - 395025 + 395019 flying through Ebbsfleet at 225km/h (140mph) as the delayed 1L23 from Ramsgate to St Pancras International (running 20 mins late), 395025 started in Ramsgate before joining with 395019 in Ashford. Whenever the Southeastern HS1 services run late, they may run fast from Ashford to St Pancras. Only these trains on Mondays to Fridays are booked to fly through Ebbsfleet without stopping (fast from Ashford to Stratford): 1J11 0613 Margate to St Pancras International, 1J15 0715 Margate to St Pancras International, 1J92 1720 St Pancras International to Margate and 1J94 1750 St Pancras International to Margate.
