Building a 396ci Big Block for Boost! We Were So Close… + hone, gap rings, bearing clearance

In this episode of the build, we finally start making real progress on our turbo 396 big block… and then everything comes to a grinding halt 😬 We hone the cylinders, clean up the block and heads, gap the rings, and start dialing in our main bearing clearances to get this thing ready for boost. Everything is going smooth… until we realize we need an extra .001 clearance on the bearings — and of course they’re BACKORDERED. So just like that… the entire build is at a standstill. This is all part of building a budget turbo big block the real way — not everything goes as planned, but we’re learning and getting it right so this thing can handle BOOST when it finally comes together 💪🔥 Stay tuned because once we get the right bearings in, we’re sending this thing forward HARD. 👇 Let me know what you would’ve done in this situation!
