Unimat SL1000-DB200 Lathe-Milling Machine Modification, Mini-Micro Machining, Tips, Upgrades, Emco
I will add some still photos at some point. The little Unimat has been a fun project and it has evolved into precise little instrument. I will be using it to make small parts for musical instruments and antique phonographs. In addition what is in the video, I also performed some maintenance, (repacked the spindle bearings, disassembling the machine, cleaning and adjusted everything). The turning finishes are excellent, but you have to be patient. Best of luck to anyone trying to get what they can out of these cute little machines, (my wife's description). If you are interested, there is a Unimat Group on facebook. I posted more information there regarding the dimensions of the indicator mounts. / 397001297919855
