We're a couple in our 50s who travel and camp with our dog in our camper van, the Sunday Middle. 😊 This time, we're sharing our experiences of escaping the record-breaking heat and camping at the Venus Line Lake Tateshina roadside station, located 1,250 meters above sea level. We took a stroll around the lakeside with our dog, taking in the breathtaking views from the cool lakeside. Daytime dog walks, which are impossible in Saitama, are a pleasure here. And there's a variety of tempting gourmet food available not only at the neighboring Tateshina Base, but also in the surrounding area and inside the roadside station. It's such a dangerous area that we recommend avoiding it if you're on a diet. With a cool, beautiful view, ample facilities and food, and even a hot spring, this roadside station is truly perfect—we'll definitely be back!
