Retirement Ceremony for LTG Anthony R. Hale The retirement ceremony for Lieutenant General Anthony R. Hale, the U.S. Army's Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence (G-2), is scheduled to take place today, Friday, January 30, 2026. Lt. Gen. Hale is retiring after more than 30 years of distinguished service, including key roles as the Commanding General of the U.S. Army Intelligence Center of Excellence and Fort Huachuca, and as the Director of Intelligence for U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM). Lieutenant General Hale served as the 48th Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence (G-2) for the U.S. He assumed this role in January 2024.
