Today I'm going to talk about 7 very common signs that can lead us to think that the heart is not working 100%. Do you have any of these signs or symptoms? Sign number 1: chest pain. I'm tired of talking in the videos but it doesn't hurt to reinforce here. Whenever you experience chest pain, see a cardiologist. Thankfully, only 5% of chest pain is heart-related. 95% of the time they are extracardiac causes, which I cover well in this video and I'll leave the link here on the card. Chest pain, especially in tightness, or burning, on the left side, which radiates to the left arm, or radiates to the jaw, or even radiates to the stomach, and comes with cold sweat, and will of throwing up. This pain is typical of the heart. Be aware if and you are feeling this, look for a cardiologist as soon as possible ok? This pain can occur due to blockage of the coronary arteries, which are the arteries that supply the heart. If the heart muscle itself lacks blood, it warns us in the form of pain. So stay tuned. Sign number 2: easy fatigue. When the heart becomes weak with heart failure, you may feel tired. Imagine a heart that once pumped at 100% is now at 40% of its strength. Less blood will reach your tissues and cells. Soon you may feel tired, unwell, feeling weak. This can happen then when the heart is weak. Signal number 3: shortness of breath. Imagine now that your heart is so weak that now the heart can barely send blood from the ventricle to our bodies. What happens? Before the left ventricle, we have the left atrium and before it what comes? Our lungs. So if the blood can't pump the blood forward, because the heart is weak, it accumulates in the lungs and can flood the lung with fluid. and give what we call decompensated heart failure, which in more severe cases can progress to acute pulmonary edema and cardiogenic shock. So the shortness of breath can already be a much more serious sign, ok? Sign number 4: swelling in the legs. Swelling in the legs can occur for several reasons. Sometimes your leg veins are weak and you have swollen legs. Sometimes your kidneys, or your liver is not 100% there you have swelling. But sometimes it's your heart that's weak, especially the right side of your heart, and then your legs can swell up too. So, if you are getting swollen legs, always look for a cardiologist, ok? It could be a sign that your heart is weak. Sign number 5: mixer. A lot of people don't know, but the normal thing is for us not to feel the heart. Realize in yourself now………………………………….. are you feeling your heart Write down there if you're feeling it. The normal thing is for us not to feel anything. When we feel the heart, we are having a palpitation. This can be normal, natural, due to the normal speed of your heart. But if you are noticing your heart beating or accelerating all the time, you should look for a specialist. Any more serious arrhythmia should always be ruled out. More severe arrhythmias usually last longer, more than minutes and may be accompanied by dizziness, feeling faint or even fainting. In addition to being able to also give chest pain. So if you feel the mixer don't hesitate ok? Sign number 6: dizziness. So as I said before, sometimes you are having an arrhythmia, which makes your heart not pump blood properly, but you don't always feel palpitations, you can feel dizzy. And that could be because the arrhythmia is causing less blood to reach your brain. Getting less blood in the brain can end up making you dizzy. So it's another thing for us to keep an eye on. Signal number 7: stress. You are stressed? Fight for anything? Do you want to curse everyone? Anything make you sad or hurt? I'll tell you then that 15 to 20% of heart attacks occur in times of extreme stress. Stress accelerates the heart, vasoconstricts the cardiac vessels, increases pressure, releases inflammatory factors and all of these together can lead to a heart attack. So if you are stressed, find some way to de-stress, this could lead to a heart attack ok? ✔ My Telegram: https://t.me/robertoyano ✔ Facebook Site: Dr. Roberto Yano ✔ My Instagram: @dr.yano
