A parábola do tesouro escondido e da pérola de grande valor verso por verso
📖 Get to Know Your Bible from Cover to Cover - https://hotm.art/conheca-sua-biblia-y... Have you ever stopped to think about the depth of Jesus' parables? In Matthew 13, He presents us with two incredible stories that I call "twin parables": the Hidden Treasure (v. 44) and the Pearl of Great Price (vv. 45-46). At first glance, they seem like simple stories, but they hold essential truths about the Kingdom of Heaven and Christ himself. In this verse-by-verse Bible study, I delve into uncovering what Jesus really wanted to teach us with these figures. The central point is: the Kingdom of God is active, in motion, and has inestimable value! What Does the Hidden Treasure Mean? I open the text in Matthew 13:44 and explore the two main interpretations: Christ finds the Church (the treasure): A view that points to the sacrifice of Jesus, who "sold everything he had" (his life) to buy the field (the world) and legally obtain us, his church. The Convert finds Christ (the treasure): The experience of conversion, where the person, upon recognizing the value of the gospel and of Christ, joyfully abandons everything they have to possess Him. I show how both interpretations complement each other, illustrating the work of Christ and our response to it, but I confess my inclination towards the first view, especially when analyzing the following parable! Who is the Man Seeking the Pearl? In Matthew 13:45-46, the comparison subtly changes. The merchant who seeks "fine pearls" (v. 45) and finds "a pearl of great value" (v. 46) is a powerful image that, in my reading, points directly to Jesus. For me, the "pearl of great value" clearly represents the Church of Christ—the body of all the redeemed. Just as in the first parable, Jesus "sells everything he possesses" (leaves glory and empties himself) to buy it at the highest price: his blood on the cross (Acts 20:28). The purpose of this video is to help you understand that: The Kingdom of Heaven demands total surrender (it cost Christ everything and costs us everything; we must surrender our lives to him). Whether you are like the treasure or the pearl, you have immense value to God! It is impossible to serve two masters, but the joy of participating in this Kingdom is complete and full. Watch, reflect, and share this glorious truth! 💡WHO ARE WE? This is the personal channel of Elder André Sanchez, dedicated to helping God's servants grow in the correct understanding of God's Word.
