Seattle's World Cup Energy: USA vs Belgium

Seattle went all in to celebrate USA reaching the World Cup Round of 16, and I spent the day chasing the energy across the city. Watch parties were happening everywhere, Westlake Center, Pacific Place, Pike Place, and the waterfront, plus the incredibly fun march of thousands headed to the stadium, this is what it looked like to catch bits of the energy from all over town. The final score was 4-1 Belgium, not the outcome we wanted. Regardless of the outcome, the city showed up. Strangers were high fiving each other. The energy on the fan march to the stadium was electric, loud, and joyful. I went to find the vibe of the city, what it feels like when a whole city turns out for something together. USA making the Round of 16 was worth celebrating, and Seattle did not hold back. If you've ever wondered what World Cup fever looks like on the ground in a host city, this is it. Seattle style! Thanks for coming along with me!
