In Germany, people often only talk about meaningless things. Even the important fields of politics and economics should never be the center of a person's life. In this sermon, Dr. Werner Gitt speaks about the shortness of human life. What is important when the coffin lid closes over us? Our relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ is the most important thing in life. Death inevitably draws nearer every day, but many people don't think about it, instead chasing after the meaningless spirit of the age. We come into this world naked and we leave it naked. We don't take money or career with us. When you're lying in the cemetery, none of that matters anymore. In the end, it all comes down to one question: Are you with God or not? This world is passing away, but what remains is God's word for eternity! We either die or are raptured, but the question remains: Are you with God? We are in the end times. Unfortunately, the church in Germany largely fails to address the most important points. We must repent and need forgiveness for our sins. Godlessness leads to God's judgment. This is evident in society in this country. People numb themselves with superficial things like football or mindless TV shows and sleepwalk their way to their own ruin. According to the Bible, the Antichrist system will come. Unrestricted migration, with refugees predominantly of Islamic faith, increasing conflicts between religions, wars like Israel against Hamas in Gaza/Iran/Syria or Ukraine against Russia with the threat of NATO intervention, and gender/LGBTQ/transgender/rainbow politics are fueling heated debates within the population. Unfortunately, the German government/politics is only moderately responding to these challenges. In politics, the focus is often no longer on the current problems; instead, the most vile statements about political opponents have become commonplace. Germany is also internally divided.
