Disused Stations of the Chicago Great Western - St Charles to Sycamore - Part 3
In Part 3 of our Chicago Great Western series, we continue to follow the trail of disused stations of the Chicago Great Western railway, along the Chicago to Oelwein route, this time from St Charles in Kane County to Sycamore, in DeKalb County, Illinois. We start this journey in St Charles, crossing over the Great Western Bridge that spans the Fox River. We then continue the journey by bicycle from the Great Western Trail trailhead at LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve, heading first to Wasco and Lily Lake in Campton Township, then Virgil and Richardson in Virgil Township, Kane County, and then reach our final destination in the city of Sycamore, county seat of DeKalb County, Illinois. Along the way, we talk about the history of each of the stations and the communities in which they resided. Thank you for watching! To support our channel, please LIKE, SUBSCRIBE & SHARE!
