The Weird World of Fan Translations: Vol 1
[David's Channel] - / @davidvinc [Membership] - / @avalanchereviews [Patreon] - / avalanchereviews [My Wife's Channel] - / @pbandjo It's no secret that for a long time, Japan essentially ran the gaming scene. And since Japanese is about the furthest thing from English, it stands to reason that a lot of us missed out on some great titles because we couldn't understand them. Enter: Fan translations! An attempt by the fans to make some of the most obscure and high quality retro games are accessible to the rest of us. Today we'll be looking at some Japan only games on the PS2, PS1, Sega CD, N64, PC Engine, Sega Saturn and SNES. And in terms of genre, well check out everything from RPGs, horror and platformers, to adventure games and visual novels. I'm also being joined by the absolutely awesome @davidvinc! Make sure to check out his channel and tell him I said what's up. 00:00 Intro 02:56 Bio Hazard Code Veronica X - Dreamcast 07:16 Berserk Millennium Falcon Arch - PS2 14:56 Treasure of the Rudras - SNES (@davidvinc) 19:45 Vampire Panic - PS2 27:02 Sakura Wars - Sega Saturn 35:04 Nekketsu Oyako - Sega Saturn 44:07 The Un-worked Designs 47:03 Lunar Eternal Blue - Sega CD 50:49 Lunar Silver Star Story Complete - PS1 54:24 Popful Mail - Sega CD 59:22 Magic Knight Rayearth - Sega Saturn 01:03:32 Battle Angel Alita / Gunnm - PS1 01:12:40 Custom Robo - N64 01:16:35 Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon - PC Engine 01:24:29 FEDA Emblem of Justice - SNES 01:31:32 Conclusion 01:32:22 End
